Required Documents and Information
What you need to prepare before we begin organizing your business registration paperwork
Personal Identification
Identity documents required for all business registrations
Ghana Card

Passport (for non-Ghanaians)
Valid passport with Ghana visa or residence permit for foreign business owners. Include copies of relevant visa pages showing legal status in Ghana.
Proof of Residence
Recent utility bill, bank statement, or rental agreement showing your residential address. Document should be dated within the last three months.

Provide three preferred business name options in order of preference. We will conduct name searches to check availability. Names should comply with RGD naming guidelines and not conflict with existing registered businesses.
Business Activity Description
Clear description of what your business will do. Include specific products or services you plan to offer. This information determines which licenses and permits you need beyond basic registration.
Business Structure
Specify whether you are registering as sole proprietorship, partnership, or limited liability company. For partnerships and companies, provide information on all partners or shareholders including ownership percentages.
Business Location Details
Physical address where the business will operate. Include GPS coordinates if available. For rented premises, we need a copy of your lease or rental agreement showing authorization to use the space for business purposes.
Location Documentation
Proof of business premises for permit applications
Lease or Rental Agreement
If renting, provide a copy of your lease agreement signed by both landlord and tenant. Agreement should clearly state the premises can be used for commercial purposes.
Property Ownership Documents
For owned premises, provide land title documents or property ownership papers. These establish your legal right to operate a business at the location.
